This year, Austrian Science Day is dedicated to the topic of “Humans and their Artificial Intelligence” and will take place from October 24-25, 2024 at the Hotel At the Park in Baden near Vienna.

The Austrian Science Day is conceived as a gathering of highly qualified scientists that brings together scientists from different disciplines in the form of a symposium with an interdisciplinary topic in order to engage in a topic-specific interdisciplinary dialog beyond the boundaries of the subject area.

Every year, 80 to 100 renowned scientists from all over Austria take part in this event.

This year, Prof. Thomas Gremsl will give a lecture on the topic of “Focusing on People: Ethical Challenges of Artificial Intelligence” and Prof. Stefan Woltran, Co-Head of CAIML, will participate in the panel discussion “AI: Danger and/or Opportunity?”.
