The Digital Services Act, one of the core pieces of the comprehensive digital regulatory mechanisms in the European Union alongside the AI Act and the Data Act, comes into full force on February 17, 2024. Implementation in the member states is now pending.

Vienna Science, Research and Technology Fund (WWTF) and MA23 organize an event, where Dr. Julian Jaursch, expert for platform regulation at the Stiftung Neue Verantwortung, holds a keynote talk. Then, experts from administration and science will discuss how the DSA affects very large platforms in particular, what this has to do with data for research and how good supervision in the digital space can also succeed in Austria. CAIML Board Member and UNESCO Co-chair for Digital Humanism Julia Neidhardt will also participate in the panel discussion.

The language of the event is German. Visit the official website of the event for further information and registration.
