CAIML colloquium with Ayumi Igarashi took place on June 29, 2023. You can find the abstract and speaker information below.
How to divide house chores can be a great source of conflicts. This brings us the fundamental question of how to divide indivisible resources. Fair division is a growing field of mathematics and computer science that provides an elegant solution to this problem. It has been successfully implemented in various real-life applications, including the Adjusted Winner Website, Fair Division Calculator, Course Match, and Spliddit. In this talk, I would like to present a new application of fair division to household chores. Our goal is to provide a systematic and transparent tool to divide household chores and help create harmony in the home.
