Eric Masanet is the Mellichamp Chair of Sustainability Science for Emerging Technologies at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he focuses on energy and sustainability modeling of ICT and industrial systems. He was previously Head of the Energy Demand Technology Unit at the International Energy Agency, Associate Professor of Mechanical and Chemical Engineering at Northwestern University, and a Staff Scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. His current research focuses on the energy evolution of the world’s data centers.
